| Since its inception in 1990, Bal Vihar Hindi School (a non-profit program of VHPA - Atlanta) has been holding Hindi and culture classes in the Atlanta area. Bal Vihar's objectives include:
- Developing basic reading, writing, and communication skills in Hindi.
- Developing awareness of Hindu cultural heritage, traditions, and values by celebrating important Hindu festivals.
- Instilling traditional Hindu values and developing self-esteem through the study of great Hindu personalities.

Parents are requested to bring a 2-liter bottle of soda of their choice per family and a can of gulab jamun (available at any Indian grocery store), to share with everyone.
Parents who are coming for the first time can register their children at the park.
